Childhood Immunisation Clinics
These are run by our practice nurses supported by healthcare assistants. Trafford’s Child Health Department will notify you of your child’s vaccinations and appointment details. Please bring the ‘Red Book’ to your appointment so we can update your child’s record of immunisation. Please see the NHS Childhood Vaccines Timeline and if you think you may not have received notification at the appropriate stage, please contact the surgery and we will ensure an appointment is made available.
Our flu vaccination programme combining seasonal and swine flu vaccines is available to patients aged 65 and over, and those with conditions such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, stroke and kidney disease. We also offer the vaccination to patients who are pregnant, and those with a chronic condition affecting their immune system. If you think you are eligible for flu vaccination, please contact the reception via 0161 928 5522. Please note: separate arrangements are made to vaccinate those patients who are housebound or live in a residential or nursing home.
Apart from adult patients eligible for flu vaccinations or needing travel immunisations, those in occupations such as dentistry or medicine may also need vaccinations. Booster vaccinations of Tetanus are also provided if patients have not previously received five lifetime doses.
Our Practice Nurses can advise patients on recommended travel vaccinations tailored to the patients’ medical history, planned destination, type and length of holiday. For more information please read our travel page.
