RSV
The RSV vaccine is recommended if:
- you're pregnant (from 28 weeks of pregnancy) – this will help protect your baby for the first few months after they're born
- you're aged 75 to 79
- If you turned 80 after 1 September 2024, you're eligible for the RSV vaccine until 31 August 2025. (You're not eligible for the RSV vaccine if you turned 80 on or before 1 September 2024)

Flu Vaccinations
Our flu vaccination programme for Autumn-Winter 2024/25 is available to all patients aged 65 and over, and those aged under 65 with conditions including but not limited to asthma, COPD, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, stroke and kidney disease. We also will be offering the vaccination to patients who are pregnant, and those with a chronic condition affecting their immune system.

School Aged Children
Catch Up Flu Vaccine Clinics
The NHS in Greater Manchester urges parents to act now, as cases of flu are rising in children aged 5 to 14 years old. Children catch and spread flu easily and it can make them very poorly.
For children who missed out at school, IntraHealth are offering community clinics until 18th January 2025. Anyone who missed the vaccine at school (Reception – Year 11) can contact Intrahealth for further details of clinics in their area:

Covid Vaccinations
Please note Altrincham Healthcare Alliance of which St Johns Medical Centre are a part of, are not offering spring '25 covid booster vaccinations. Should you be eligible and require a covid vaccination please visit the below link to find your nearest provider. Please note there are different provisions in place for care home and housebound patients and we will be in touch for these cohorts in March.
