Covid & Flu Vaccinations for Autumn-Winter 25/26

Flu
In line with NHS England, pregnant and eligible children will be offered a vaccination from 1st September at the practice; all other eligible patients will be offered a vaccination from 1st October.
Children of primary school age in Trafford will be offered vaccination at school by IntraHealth.
Housebound and care home patients will be offered vaccine at their place of residence by our nursing team – patients that fall into this cohort do not need to contact the practice as we will make arrangements with each individual / care home for administration October onward.

At time of writing there are appointments available as follows:

Monday 22nd September Pregnant women
Saturday 4th October over 65’s
Sunday 5th October under 65’s, nasal flu
Saturday 11th October under 65’s, nasal flu
Sunday 12th October over 65’s

Covid
Altrincham Healthcare Alliance Primary Care Network of which St Johns Medical Centre are a part of, are not offering covid vaccinations this winter. Alternate provisions are being made for those patients who are housebound or residing in a care home by Kildonan House. If you are eligible for a covid vaccination but not housebound or residing in a care home you can find a local centre offering vaccination on a walk in or prebookable appointment basis by viewing the link below from 1st October 2025.
