The Nursing Staff

Nurse Practitioner: Maria McDonnell  RGN BA (Hons)  PG Dip Clinical Practice (Masters Level)

Maria qualified at MRI in 1990 after working as a staff nurse.  Maria moved to Withington Hospital where she worked for 8 years as a Research Sister in the Breast Oncoloy Unit.  Maria worked within the Trafford Specialist Weight Management Team.  Maria came to St Johns Medical Centre in 2012 as part of her independent prescribing training and officially joined the team in April 2014.  Maria conducts emergency clinics on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.


Practice Nurses: Ann Tracey, Carolyn Dale and Elizabeth Wells

Ann qualified in 1991 and her nursing experience includes burns and plastics, and 6 years as a midwife. Ann joined St Johns in 2000 and is qualified to run all of the clinics including Asthma, Diabetes, COPD, Heart/Stroke, Travel, Childhood Immunisations and Cytology.

Carolyn  joined the Practice in September 2015 and is qualified to run all chronic disease clinics.

Elizabeth joined the Practice in November 2015 and currently undertakes blood pressure checks, dressings, CHD and Diabetes checks and undertakes various injections i.e. B12, Zoladex.


Healthcare Assistant: Deborah Davies

Deborah joined the Practice in 2013 and supports the GP’s and Nursing Team in addition to seeing patients with chronic diseases.
