The NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme has just been extended for Trafford patients. Those aged 60 to 69 years have been invited for screening every 2 years since December 2009. People aged 70 to 74 years are now also being invited for screening every 2 years. However, it will be sometime before everyone in this age group has received an invitation within the previous 2 years.

Anyone aged 70 years or over who has not been screened within the previous 2 years can request screening by telephoning the free helpline on 0800 707 6060.
